How to Clear Application Cache In 4 Quick Ways

Cached data are app-specific Files stored by an application in a reserved space so that every time you load the application, it already has information ready to show you quickly. Application cache contains images and other media files. It is a good practice to get rid of cached data ,If you are running low on memory or if any of your apps are misbehaving, or if you think your device is slow.

Is there any risk in deleting Application Cache ?

Cached data is automatically generated and deleting cached data does not delete any sensitive information such as saved passwords or game data.

Clearing application cache will only remove the temporary files in the cache.It won’t delete your other app data like logins, apps, saved games, downloaded photos, chats etc. For instance if you clear cache of Gallery or Camera app on your Android phone, you won’t lose any of your photos/videos.

Generally Android itself will manage the cached data on its own and you don’t need to clear cache manually unless an app or Android system doesn’t work normally.This is how we can clear our Android cache

1.Clear an application cache data

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Go to Apps/App Manager.

  3. Select the app for which you want to clear cache.

  4. If your device runs on Marshmallow or later, tap on Storage

  5. Tap on Clear Cache.

  6. If it is needed, tap Clear Data as well.

2.Clear all cached data

  1. Go to Settings > Storage or Storage& USB(in my case).

  2. Tap on Cached Data.

  3. Tap OK on the pop-up window.

  4. This will delete the cached data of all apps on your Android phone.

3.Third-party apps

Android cleaners make a decent showing with regards to of finding superfluous records or stored information and enable you to erase them. There are a lot of cleaner apps available on Play Store. Aside from expelling stored information, they can enable you to remove unused APK’s, improve battery life and a a lot of other features.

4.Clear cache from Recovery

If your device has become too slow or if there is system error or problem on your Android phone, you can try to fix it by wiping cache partition to clear the system cache. For that you need to put your phone in Recovery Mode.

This method is different for different manufacturers, and you should look it up on the internet before proceeding further.

Note : This is an advanced procedure and and we recommend that you proceed with the given steps if you have experience in rooting your device or after you’ve thoroughly learned the procedure through web search for your particular device.

  1. Turn off your Android device.

  2. Press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power keys at the same time.

  3. When the phone reboots with the Android System Recovery screen, release all of the keys.

  4. Press Volume down key to highlight “wipe cache partition” and press Power key to confirm.

  5. After wiping cache partition, select Reboot system now.
